This video was inspired by the feelings I had bottled up during the pandemic. The feeling of wanting to get out of a paralyzed state. It starts with an attempt to meditate to escape negative emotions. The video starts with a storyboard alongside audio from “10 Minute Meditation for Anxiety” by Goodful that plays. As it continues, my voice begins to fade in as to bring more of myself into it. Finally, a part of “The Speak It Mountains” by Gorillaz plays as the inner voices begin to succumb to my emotions, ending with one last desperate cry.
GarageBand was used for distorting the audio clips in the second half of the video. My art piece “Blue Light” fades in alongside other visuals, until the only thing left to see is a glowing screen. My goal in this piece was to be more vulnerable and balance out the relaxing parts with the intense part in order to create an engaging experience.
